If you had the chance to track wildlife in a rainforest in the past you already know how elusive the animals in the jungle tend to be. I want to introduce you to the Osa Peninsula and its National Park, Corcovado. The remote Peninsula is a glimpse into Central America's wild past, covered in lush primary jungle. The national park has one of the highest densities of biodiversity in the world, thus observing species that are rare in other places is quite frequent here. Embark in this unique wildlife experience, and get to know projects that have been working in conservation for decades, travel through mangroves and jungle trails while you search felines, reptiles, water mammals, birds, and insects!
Our team will meet you at Puerto Jimenez Airport (PJM) and take you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time and energy you can walk around Puerto Jimenez. This small town is one of the two getaways for entering Corcovado National Park. A small town by the sea with a chill local vibe and a few restaurants and bars. Go to bed early and get ready for starting your trip to Corcovado the following morning.
Wake up early and head to the meeting spot by 5:00 am, after a quick breakfast in a local bakery, you and your guide will proceed to the port to take the boat that will take you to Corcovado National Park. Since you will stay 2 nights inside the park, we suggest you pack a small backpack and leave your big luggage in Puerto Jimenez, where we will provide a safe place to store it. After an hour and a half, you will arrive at Sirena Station, a simple but clean place, which will be your base for the following day's jungle exploration. Note that this is the only lodging option available inside the park, and the rooms are shared.
Corcovado as mentioned is a privileged spot on earth, where commonly shy animals let themselves be seen. The park safeguards one of the last substantial regions of lowland tropical forests worldwide and the most extensive primary forest on the Pacific coastline of the Americas. Today after checking in at the Station you will make your first hike through the park trials.
You will be accompanied by a private guide and you can plan with him the type of hikes you want to do and the animals you would like to track.
Today you will have the whole day to explore the park trails, which pass through rivers, dense jungles, and the beach. Start early morning and interleave the hikes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the station.
Our guides are strictly selected among the most experienced and best trackers in the area. They will carry a telescope making it more enjoyable to see animals that live in the forest canopy and birds. You will have the chance of seeing 3 different species of Monkeys, Tapirs, Scarlet Macaws, Emperator Boas, two types of Sloth Bears, Anteaters, colorful frogs, and if you are lucky maybe even one of the 5 species of felines, the Puma the most commonly seen.

I'm 26 years old, born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and currently living as a digital nomad. I’ve been traveling since I was 18 years old, my trips took me mainly to South & Central America, Northern &Sub-Saharan Africa, Oceania, the Indian subcontinent, as well as most parts of South East Asia. I'm driven by an insatiable curiosity to discover the world's most captivating wildlife reserves and immerse myself in diverse cultures. For the past three years, I've had the incredible opportunity to blend my passion fortravel with my professional career in the dynamic world of tourism.
Monica made traveling through Egypt easy, comfortable, and fun. Not only was Monica able to navigate the country and language with ease, but she also facilitated cultural exchange between me and the people we met along the way.
Monica made our entire trip seamless! Her knowledge of Cairo and the surrounding area, Egyptian culture, and excellent communication throughout the process set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic experience.
Jay is so friendly and easy to communicate with. She prompted a trip to Bali, took my travel ideas and plans into consideration, as well as offered her recommendations. It was incredible, I would not hesitate to let Jay plan another trip!
Travelling with Daphne is a true pleasure. Her enthusiasm for new cultures is fantastic. She is very easy going, gets along with everyone, has unlimited energy and makes sure you're enjoying your trip the fullest! I would highly recommend!
Jamie provided me with a driver to and from the airport, selected a comfortable and affordable accommodation to my liking (within walking distance from the beach), and planned a nice mix of fun filled activities and down time for rest.
Jamie has a gift of travel. What I found amazing, was her ability to curate an itinerary that balances the must see main attractions with the lesser known but no less amazing attractions of the country.
