Most people think that Zanzibar is an island, but it really is an archipelago made up of 4 large islands and several smaller islands. The main island, Unguja, has long been a center of maritime trade. In its capital, Stone Town, where much of the architecture is still well preserved, you can breathe and feel the footprints of the rich and cosmopolitan history of this city, a unique place where East and West converge. Outside the city, the island abounds with endless white sand beaches popular with kite surfers, but also wild, rocky and quiet coves.
Welcome to the island of Unguja, popularly known as Zanzibar. Half-day guided tour where you will see all the historical and cultural attractions of Stone Town while exploring the World Heritage culture and history.
You will learn about the history of the slave trade on the island, visit the local market, and reach the port where the House of Wonders or the Sultan's House is located.
