Walking around the historic downtown and trying its famous cuisine will awaken your soul to this beautiful country. Oaxaca provides a cultural journey since the Mayan times to their colonization and the present day. For the adventure seekers, Oaxaca desert has beautiful nature that won't be missed! Meeting the friendliest Mexicans and having a chance of seeing a wedding parade, are all included in the itinerary!
You will arrive at Xoxocotlán International Airport in Oaxaca City and be welcomed. A driver will be there to pick you up and take you to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time as well as the time difference this is a good day to gather your bearings. In the afternoon you will be exploring the beautiful streets of Centro Historico Oaxaca. Visit a museum if you have time, and last have a lovely dinner in a traditional restaurant.
What's included:
An early morning pickup to visit the beautiful Hierva del Agua and go on A Mezcal tour (a traditional alcoholic drink). You will ride through Oaxaca's desert and get a glimpse of the real Mexico, which is the road that takes you to Hierva del Agua, where you'll be spending a couple of hours visiting rock waterfalls, yes you heard that right, hiking if you wish, and enjoying the stunning view while you swim in its natural boiling water (which is cold).
Make sure to bring swimming clothes and hiking/walking shoes, comfortable clothes, a hat, sunglasses, and a towel. You can buy snacks there or bring your own!
You will get a bit of resting time and have special Oaxacan food for dinner at a lovely restaurant.

This is a day to enjoy Oaxaca! After breakfast, you will be going on a walking tour and getting to know more about Oaxaca's culture, beautiful architecture, and traditions. If it is a Saturday, you might see a wedding parade happening!
For lunch, you will join a cooking class! Be prepared to eat some great food, and drink mezcal. You'll learn how to prepare some traditional Mexican food. Yum! And things might get a bit spicy, are you ready?
For the early birds, you can head to the hotel and rest, and for the night owls, the city offers some cool bars (recommendations can be provided)!
